155 – Chants d’Espérance français: O jour béni, jour de victoire

155 – Chants d’Espérance français

Consécration et persévérance

1. O jour béni, jour de victoire

Que je ne saurais oublier;

J’ai vu, j’ai vu le Roi de gloire

Apparaissant sur mon sentier!

Sa beauté, sa gloire infinite

De tous les côtés m’entourait;

Son regard, qui porte la vie,

Sur ma pauvre âme s’abaissait

2. Son manteau couvrait ma misère,

Ses bras me serraient sur son Coeur;

Il me portait dans sa lumière

Loin du péché, de la douleur

De sa main essuyant mes larmes

Il me parlait de son amour:

“Viens mon enfant, sois sans alarmes;

Je te prends à Moi, sans retour.”

3. Et je suis dans cette retraite

Dont je ne sortirai jamais;

Et je goûte une paix parfait

Oû ma foi s’abreuve à longs traits.

Non, tout ceci n’est point un rêve,

Mais la grande réalité;

C’est un jour nouveau qui se lève,

Qui doit durer l’éternité

4. En avant donc, avec courage

Avec espoir, avec Bonheur;

Je me consacre sans partage

A mon Dieu, mon Roi, mon Sauveur

Il dit à mon âme ravie:

Ne t’occupe plus que de Moi,

Et je dirigerai ta vie

Et je m’occuperai de toi

5. Il a saisi mes mains tremblantes;

J’ai dit amen à ce contrat!

Il étend ses mains bénissantes,

C’est en effet Lui qui me combat.

Et les yeux fermés, je m’avance

Tranquille, sur le droit chemin.

J’entonne un chant de deliverance;

Il peut tout, car je ne suis rien!

Lè Jezu mouri sou kalvè; Lè Kris mouri se te pou mouin (When Jesus Died on the Calvary)

1.
Lè Jezu mouri sou kalvè
Lè Kris mouri se te pou mouin
Mouin mande-m eske m-a konnin
Konbiin mouin doue, konbiin mouin doue

Konbiin mouin doue lanmou san fin?
Konbiin mouin doue ka Kris pou mouin?
Mouin konnin sa li fè pou mouin
Mouin pa ka di m konbiin mouin doue
2.
Sovè mouin nan Jètsemani
Te pase pi gwo agoni
Se pou mouin soufrans sa te ye
Kouman pou-m di konbiin mwen doue
3.
Se te amou li gin pou mouin
Ki fè-l soufri yon mò onté
Lè tout san kò li te koule
Li sove mouin, konbiin mouin doue
4.
Lè m-a rive nan sièl la tou,
Rete avèk li pou toujou
Mouin mèt pale di mil ane
Mouin pap fin di konbiin mouin doue

Haitian Books of Faith and Hope, Children’s Choruses and Church Songs Are More Requested than Voodoo, Zombie and Vampire Books

Here is a review of this book: “Allelluia Haitian Chants of Hope and Faith: Praise to Thee, O Lord, King of Eternal Glory… is a listing of the most requested songs or hymns on ChandesperansOnline.com. It is the web site users’ and authors’ selections of their favorite hymns from the famous Chants d’esperance Francais et Creoles Haitiens. The authors of this release grew up singing these songs in the church and parochial schools they attended. They are songs such as “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” -“Quel Ami Fidele et Tendre Nous Avons en Jesus-Christ,” “Quel Repos, Quel Repos” – “It is Well, It is Well…,” etc. This book is a personal affair for the authors as they share their love of singing in French and Haitian creole…”

Sing along with Haitian Children! Canten con los chicos Haitianos. This compilation is for those who want to sing along with Haitian Children at christian venues, outreach mission trips, schools, churches and elsewhere. Some of the songs are short choruses…

Start playing some of these choruses on your guitar or piano and the Haitian children will follow you. They will sing with you. All throughout the country, these songs are are sung in most churches or revival centers.

These are songs I used to sing with the children of my Sunday school class. L’ecole du Dimanche or Sunday school can be a lot of fun with the right selection of songs.

Just in case you are interested in having more songs, here is a new book of choruses, short Haitian hymns, Lullaby and Play songs published on this link:
